Bless(ed) (be) the POOR

“‭Defend the poor & fatherless! Do justice to the afflicted & needy! Deliver the poor & needy, rid them out of the hand of the wicked!” Ps 82:3-4

Sing unto God, sing praises to His name! Extol Him that rides upon the heavens by His name YHWH and rejoice before Him! A father of the fatherless & a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation! God sets the solitary in families! He brings out those which are bound with chains! But the rebellious dwell in a dry land! Psalms 68:4-6

The Lord preserves the strangers! He relieves the fatherless & widow! but the way of the wicked he turns upside down! Psalm 146:9

He that has pity upon the poor lend unto the Lord! and that which he has given will He pay him again! Prov 19:17

Whoso stops his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard! Prov 21:13

The rich & poor meet together: the Lord is the Maker of them all! Prov 22:2

He that has a bountiful eye shall be blessed! for he gives of his bread to the poor! Prov 22:9

(Yeshua said:)

The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the POOR! He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives & recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, ‭To preach the acceptable year of the Lord! Luk 4:18-19

And Jesus lifted up His eyes on His disciples & said: "Blessed be you poor, for yours is the kingdom of God!” Luk 6:20

Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way and tell John what things you have seen & heard:

"how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached! And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in Me.” Luk 7:22-23

So that servant came and shewed his Lord these things. Then the Master of the house being angry said to His servant:

"Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city & BRING IN hither the poor and the maimed and the halt and the blind!" The servant said: "Lord, it is done as You have commanded and yet there is room!" And the Lord said unto the servant:

"Go out into the highways & hedges and compel them to come in! That My house may be filled! ‭For I say unto you, That none of those men which were bidden shall taste of My supper!” Luk 14:21-24

“‭You know the commandments: Do NOT commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour your father and mother. ‭And he said: "All these have I kept from my youth up." Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lack you ONE THING:

"sell all that you have & give unto the poor and you shall have treasure in heaven! and come, FOLLOW ME!” Luk 18:20-22

And Zacchaeus stood and said unto the Lord:

"Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him FOURfold! ‭And Jesus said unto him:

"This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham!"

"For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost!” Luk 19:8-10

Behold, this was the iniquity of your sister Sodom:

pride, fulness of bread and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor & needy! ‭And they were haughty and committed abomination before Me! Therefore I took them away as I saw good!” Eze 16:49-50

Paul said:

“...As sorrowful, yet always rejoicing! As poor, yet making many rich!! As having nothing and yet possessing all things...," 2 Cor 6:10

Only they would that we should remember the poor! The same which I also was forward to do!” Gal 2:10

Hearken, my beloved brethren:

"Have not God chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He had promised to them that love him?" Jam 2:5

Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this: "To visit the fatherless & widows in their affliction and to keep himself unspotted from the world!” James 1:27

He that trusts in his own heart is a fool!

But whoso walks wisely, he shall be delivered! He that gives unto the poor shall not lack!

But he that hides his eyes shall have many a curse! Prov 28:26-27

“‭Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction! ‭Open thy mouth, judge righteously and plead the cause of the poor & needy!” Prov 31:8-9

There is one that scatters and yet increases! and there is that withholds more than is meet, but it tends to poverty! ‭The liberal soul shall be made fat! He that waters, shall be watered also himself!” Prov 11:24-25

Is not this the fast that I have chosen? To loose the bands of wickedness! To undo the heavy burdens! To let the oppressed go free! And that ye break every yoke? ‭Is it not to deal your bread to the hungry? And that you bring the poor that are cast out to your house? When you see the naked, that you cover him! And that you hide not yourself from your own flesh? ‭THEN shall your light break forth as the morning and your health shall spring forth speedily! Your righteousness shall go before you! The glory of the Lord shall be your reward! ‭Then shalt you call and the Lord shall answer! You shall cry and He shall say: "Here I am." If you take away from the midst of you the yoke, the putting forth of the finger and speaking vanity! And if you draw out your soul to the hungry! And satisfy the afflicted soul! Then shall your light rise in obscurity & your darkness be as the noonday! And the Lord shall guide you continually & satisfy your soul in drought & make fat your bones! And you shall be like: "a watered garden & like a spring of water, whose waters fail not!” Isaiah 58:6-11

He that by usury & unjust gain increases his substance, he shall gather it for him that will pity the poor! ‭He that turns away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination! Whoso causes the righteous to go astray in an evil way, he shall fall himself into his own pit! But the upright shall have good things in possession! The rich man is wise in his own conceit, but the poor that has understanding searches him out!” Prov 28:8-11

And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse and a Branch shall grow out of his roots! And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, the Spirit of wisdom & understanding, the Spirit of counsel & might, the Spirit of knowledge & of the fear of the Lord! ‭And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the Lord! He shall not judge after the sight of His eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of His ears! But with righteousness shall He judge the poor and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth! He shall smite the earth with the rod of His mouth and with the breath of His lips shall He slay the wicked! Righteousness shall be the girdle of His loins and faithfulness the girdle of His reins! ‭The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb and the leopard shall lie down with the kid! The calf and the young lion and the fatling together! A little child shall lead them! ‭And the cow and the bear shall feed, their young ones shall lie down together! The lion shall eat straw like the ox! The sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice’ den! They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain! For the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea!” Isaiah 11:1-9

When the ear heard me, then it blessed me and when the eye saw me, it gave witness to me: Because I delivered the poor that cried & the fatherless & him that had none to help him! The blessing of him that was ready to perish came upon me and I caused the widow’s heart to sing for joy! I put on righteousness & it clothed me! My judgment was as a robe & a diadem! ‭I was eyes to the blind & feet was I to the lame! I was a father to the poor! and the cause which I knew not I searched out! ‭And I brake the jaws of the wicked & plucked the spoil out of his teeth! Then I said: I shall die in my nest & I shall multiply my days as the sand. ‭My root was spread out by the waters & the dew lay all night upon my branch! My glory was fresh in me & my bow was renewed in my hand! Unto me men gave ear & waited & kept silence at my counsel! ‭After my words they spake not again & my speech dropped upon them. ‭They waited for me as for the rain & they opened their mouth wide as for the latter rain! ‭If I laughed on them, they believed it not and the light of my countenance they cast not down! I chose out their way & sat chief & dwelt as a king in the army, as one that comforts the mourners!” Job 29:11-25

Jesus said:

And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: every tree therefore which brings not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. ‭And the people asked him, saying: "What shall we do then?" He answerd and said unto them: "He that has 2 coats, let him impart to him that has none! and he that has meat, let him do likewise! Luke 3:9-11

Learn to DO well: "Seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow" Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: "though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow! though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool!” Isaiah 1:17-18
